I have a brushless X1Crt but pinion and spurgear doing a lot of noise when it is metal against metal.
Are there some opportunities to the problem?
possible link to it.
Not really unless you get a plastic spur gear. Metal > metal contact will always make alot of noise to start with, but it will quieten down once they are broken in & worn a little.
Rc-monster might sell something, if not there are lots of online stores that will have them- have a check in the truggy sub-forum to see what solutions other people are using & the manufacturers.
I run metal spurs... its not that bad. But you also get the reliablity of metal gears. remember to buy some RCM hardened pinions if you dont have them already. or the spur will eat you pinions alive.

People do not seem to address this often, so here I go...
If you play with the mesh adjust ment, and make tiny changes, you can get the gears to run quitely. I run metal on metal on my lst, and if set just right it hardly makes more noise than the motor. I do not know if the truggy layout amplifies the noise, but try making tiny adjustments and see if it helps the noise.
As for putting the 46t plastic spur in, well, you will want to go with the truggy ratio gear sets in the front and rear. Currently the crt has buggy ratio, 13/43, gears, that is why it uses such a large spur. You can put the hot bodies lsp 10/43 gears in and run a 46t spur for the same overall ratio. Seems like alot of work to me, but if you want to run a plastic spur it is your best bet.
