OK, OK... I had one.. BUT... Well, I was trying to see how many volts a bbq sparker put out.. That was ok.... Then I was trying to measure the voltage of an outlet to show off to a friend.. I wasn't getting any reading.. I unplugged the leads and put them back in differently to try to get a reading... I saw a big ass spark! Lordy, Lordy I shorted my outlet..
So now the multimeter is toast and my friend leaves to go eat or something. I try to get on here but the internet isn't working... I ask my dad if he is having any problems and he says he doesn't have any cable or internet... Damn... So he calls the cable company and gets an appointment.
Later that night I was trying to fix the cable and saw a GFI outlet by the fusebox. It was tripped, and that is what controlled the internet and cable.

I ran upstairs and told my dad something magically tripped the gfi.

Then we cancelled the cable guy and all was well..
And that's why I don't have a multimeter.
