Help with Revo - 05.04.2009, 12:48 PM

i currently have the Tecko convertion in my 3.3 and was running an 8xl,i just bought the MMM-2200 setup and it wont fit the mount(to big around)can anyone tell me if the RC-Monster mount will work with the 2200 motor?if so what gearing should i run?I am thinking centre diff and rear brake setup as well

yes, the rc monster motor mount will work with the 2200kv motor. thats what im using.

have you beefed up the driveline?
ya know..things like locked it into 2nd gear and removed 1st, E-revo diffs and steel center driveshafts etc?

yeah the RC-monster mount will work

the tranny is locked into 2nd,i have cvds all around and in the middle,i didnt know about the diffs though.thank for informing me of that.
I am switching over from the tecko kit so i wont be using the clutch bell any more.so what is a good gearing to start with?I will be racing not bashing so there will belots of 20-30 min mains and i want to keep her cool as i can and run somewhere around 30-35 mph my maxx is geared for 30 and stays nice and kool

a racer like me then...

get some E-revo diffs at the least, center diff with some really heavy weight diff oil (the nitro revo center diff is a little too weak for my taste)

IMO i like what i have done and used a E-maxx 3905 tranny, loads stronger.

use mikes.s gearing calculator (google "rc calculations") and one of the first few will have a top speed estimator thing.
use that and gear your car for 40mph, that is almost garenteed to keep things cool enuff.

i have mine geared for 40mph and my temps are never over 130 on the motor :) running 5s :)
