These Chinese brands (Amax, Exceed etc) are all made in the same factory and sold in slight variations through the seemingly endless seperate brands

A friend and I (he does a lot of business through China) considered buying a mixed container load and making some quick cash... we didn't do it because we couldn't get to the manufacturer

We did however run a few of the Amax branded 1/10 buggies, TC & MT to see how they'd last. Great value for the pittance they cost however when compared against the established brands, it's no contest. Plastic and self-tapping screws is how I'd describe the 1/10 range!! Drivetrain components are mostly interchangeable accross the models, chassis, arms etc are slightly different lengths

The BL buggy completed the biggest all-or-nothing jump I've ever seen...full throttle off a 60' high gravel mound with a kicker lip (at a sand mine), travelled 40' away from the mound, landed and drove away...a few self tapper screws that hold the F/R to the chassis stripped but it was a big, big jump

The 1/8 range was just being introduced at that time but they weren't willing to ship samples of those...I probably still have all the pricelists, parts lists etc if anyones interested
