If you have to use Red you are not doing something properly. Blue should hold in any RC application. Red is "permanent" you will usually have to heat the part up to remove it, if you can get it loose then it wasn't applied properly. You have to make sure that the threads in both the setscrew and the part are clean. If they are not then any oil contamination will keep locktite from setting up and the part will come loose. The other thing t keeping a pinion on is that the setscrew must be perpendicular to the flat on the shaft., if not then when you shift the load on the motor it will come loose. If you are using red on a pinion I hope you don’t plan on changing gear ratios or motors using that same. Then again what do I know about it other than we buy the stuff in 8 oz bottles. I have literally broken #10 screws using red. If you really want it to be permanent use the Green sleeve retainer, its good enough to re-bond the magnet to the motor shaft.
