I've looked into several mainstream 1/8 motors to find they have very similar structure. All are 4 pole rotors, 12 slot cored stators. All have their rotor magenet pieces fiber wrapped, either with carbon or with Kevlar. Even the rotor diameters are very close, 18~19mm. The difference is in the details. Rotor balancing, winding leads, bearings, sensors...... and brands.
