heres your best solution. find your largest square shaped areas you can, drive a steel or cast iron pipe down in the middle. put a spool on it, or make your own. the circumfrence should be the same or a little less than the width of your pushmower. attach a rope to the spool at one end, and to the mower at the other, preferably wrapped right around the engine. ziptie down the safety bar and the push assist bar, and start it up. just let it go and it will do a spiral cutting in towards the middle. viola! set a few up so that you can quickly swap between the different poles, and then hit the rest manually in like 20 minutes!

or, if you have a ride on mower, you can use a servo to adjust the throttle, and rig up a motor and friction wheel or belt with the steering wheel to turn.

Thats not a bad idea. I have a good 1/2 acre out back that takes 2 hours to mow. A beer, a sun chai,r and a rope, some zipties on the front wheel safety thing... Just have to do the edges after I wake up.. But really that what I use the kids for. No point in being young and strong with no income if not to do chores
