Have Lehner gotten any better with customer service? Why did you choose the Lehner 3080 over let say a Neu 22xx? Did you get a good deal for the 3080?

Can't wait to see the burnout videos. :) The shortwheel base on that thing should make for some mad wheelies.

I would suggest mounting the antenna like this:

There was a bit of (AM) radio interference on this conversion, but it was a nitro and a fail-safe was never installed. Oh well, I never liked cats anyway.
That cat looks soooo pissed off!!!

Reason, I had chosen the Lehner over the neu because...

All the hype and literature that the 1527 and the 2215 would smoke the 2280..... I had to get myself a 1527, so I had gotten 4.. 3 different winds...
and none of those motors could even compare to the power out put of the 2280-5 HA.. but the 1527's were more powerful than my 2280-13 non hi-amp.. After seeing a video of a 2215 on 8S+ on a baja 5B, it's nothing compared to the 2280-5 HA on 6S.. 8S is just sick... So I guess I am in love with the "Hi Amp" versions of the Lehner motors... They have always served me well... Warranty still takes time.. and I only had to service the 2280 one time.. now, I have a 1950 HA being sent to Lehner.. Their customers service is nothign compared to Neu, I can imagine. But I really do like the Hi Amp series made by Lehner... So, since the 3080s are all Hi Amps, I had to have one. Nothing against Neu either.. I have 6 Neu motors and will/would definately buy them again... for their performance, the price is just awesome!!. I will get a Neu 2230 of the same KV and I will definately do a comparison...

Sounds good. I'll be waiting for a comparison of the Neu 2230. When will we all see this monster of yours in action?

Here's the photo of the comparison.. I have a sh*t load of feigaos and KB-45, but not worth putting in the photo and I don't feel like unmounting them from the cars/trucks that they are in...

Lutach, I'm trying to pick up a Rampage MT2 right now for $550 RTR with a 30.5 ESP.. Used of course.. I could probably get atleast $200 for the Engine, sell off the radio gear..

Semi Pro, I got it from FD.. I tried to get it from Mike, but he doesn't deal with them anymore.. Paid seven bills for it.. and over a month wait time.. Go figure! Next time, I will do it direct... It has a 10mm shaft, so perfect for conversion.. When I have cash for the Neu 2230, I would definately get it from Mike...

Hey Kaz, I plan to use Schulze 40.300WK, Batteries.. 12S PolyQuest XP 5Ah and 12S Turnigy 25C 5Ah...

Oooo where did you get that Neu 1572 series????

Yeah that 3080 beats the **** out of my 1940HA... But a 3080 doesn't fit in a Rustler- or does it??? Hmmm...

Hey man, nice to see you here. Are YOUR Lehner still going strong? I am having a hard time choosing a right motor for my new 115cm Catamaran, Lehner or Neu, "that is a question".

I've been toying with the idea of going big bL in one of these.

However, I'm a little lost on what motor would be best suited. I want to go 10-12S.

I want it FAST!

what's with the wiring on the 2280HA? it looks like it is wired like a brushed motor. it even has those weird brushed motor connectors.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

Looks like he has 2 leads coming from the Motor connections. Also the Lehner's can be wired 2 different ways.
