ah yeah if the magnets are supposed to be attached to the shaft they arnt any longer... sounds like i need to hit my credit card again :(

There is a few methods of reattaching the magnet to the shaft- read around here and you're sure to find some. They will most likely work as long as your windings aren't destroyed as well.

Also, that works as long as the magnets themselves aren't broken.
