Choice bro!
Don't rip up your jandels when you get the motor/esc, make sure you're standin on the chilly bin for the first run
Have a look at the diffs after the first few runs (unless something else is prompting you to do so beforehand), then if the oil has changed colour (dirty) or you notice a difference in traction/performance - time for a change. I find the heavier the weight, the less often I change
Sweet as!!

Well i suggest going with a heavier diff oil in the center diff to keep front wheels for ballooning. I like running. 7k front 10k center and 3k rear. but that is my driving style. Everyone is different so find a place that makes you happy.

Too funny!
magman was referring to the grades of diff oil used...20k front 20k centre 7k rear. That's diff oil not shock oil
I don't have a mbx 5T but in my 8T I run up to 100k in the centre diff when I'm doing speed runs (does tend to bend the rear drive shaft though) which keeps the rear fully powered up

Consumption is directly linked to your throttle finger...it's not a switch!
If this logic goes out the window - get video

I must have 20 different grades of diff oil sitting on my bench. You will need to keep an adequate supply around. Also, you may want to keep extra diff gaskets around as well...
1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S

I use 20-20-5 setup in my MBX5T (8 races this summer, 4 wins, 4 podium finishes)
quite aggressive truck and I like the looser rear
5-10k in the rear with 20k front and center work very well in a truggy. depending on rear geometry setup.
