Any input in appreciated.
Well Im mostly a basher as well as work only permits me so much free time and I am using a 15 with great success. No heat issues as of yet.

Stum I have heard of people "losing" the MMM esc without adequate padding. You know of anything like this? I just read that but I have run mine like this before on my 8T as well.

Thanks for the comments guys. I have to say I have a weird problem....when they are this clean I have a severe hard time popping the ole' cherry.

I am with you on the clean thing, I have had my 8ight E buggy for about a year now and she still looks basically new. I thought is was just me though, I have a little OCD for sure.

This go round though I got my xt8 this week off of ebay, but the guy did me right, it is basically new. no scratches even on the bottom of the chassis. If it had new wheels and mud guards you would never know it had been run at all. i still think is will ease the pain of the first few runs.

What do you think of the shocks, do you feel compelled to up date to the 2009 spec shocks. I don't think I do right now, but I like not having to use preloads on the 2009s.

I have to say I almost prefer a used kit so I don't sweat the first run like this. There is no going back after the first run....lol. Its a sickness. It also propels my buying and selling compulsion as well.

On the 09 shocks, for my application the old clips will do for now. Even tho I do love the adjustable clean versions as well.

I use two layers of the 3M heavy duty two way tape.. usually get the big roll from staples. Anyway w/ two layers I've never had any issues w/ the MMM. Also the with my mount I do have a little give as it extends out past the motor mount like yours so it's like a perch.

I have the same tape with only one layer....I have ran it before many times but will probably double up just to be safe. I already have a bunch of stuff needing t go back to castle...like a MM motor with one day of runtime. lol. I also have a couple of mm esc's that need replacing maybe with a couple mmp's. I love CC, they are awesome if your patient with them. But I do need something to run till everything comes back.

I just got in the mail today my first mmp combo....still contemplating its future application. I have a freshly built Mini revo with a tenbol mount just begging for it I think. I worry tho b/c I ran it on 4s and it didnt last too long before the diff gear and pinion chewed.
