True, and it is nice to be able to tell them apart but sooner or later I think we should drop the focus on what version it is.

i have one of the first MMM v3 with the bullet connectors battery side and knock on wood it has been running flawlessly, so you should be good to go
 check out my avitar --- old pic by the way, actually using an MMM traxxas holder now |
