How much maintenance you do on your car? I didn't have a signel DNF during the summer season. The car didn't broke once so that I had to retire. All finishes in top 3. You can't do it with other than Xray ;)

I think I went through 1 new bulkhead for both front and rear. I cleaned and relubed the 13x19 bearings before each race. Replaced them after 2-3 races in the rear. I've had one failure in rear but did notice it only after the A-main finish and second place.

No 8x14x4 failures for me either. But then again, I did clean and relube them also before each raceday.

So in the end it is up to how much maintenence you do and in which conditions you drive! If you care about your racing results you have to do some maintenence. And if you do then the bearings won't fail!

BTW... my diff pinion and crown gears are 1.5 years old - just when the 808 came out and don't see any reason for replacing them even now!

Maybe you've shimmed the diff too tight or loose? I have one 0.1 (I think) shim to tighten the diff. When bulkheads are in OK condition it is usually ok... but you have to check!

XB808 rocks and I've already ordered the 2010 version ;) The 2010 has new bulkheads with 13x20 bearings so hopefully you won't get any failures from them anymore.
