How do you move the links on the msr?

+1 Training gear just messed with me more than it helped.

I was thinking about getting a heli a few months back (I have no real experience with them) so I did quite a bit of forum reading and the Hobby King 450 was said to be decent as well as compatible with T-Rex. no prob. i'm still on the 'tame' settings, lol. you know about the dual rates too, right? just want to make sure you're not running the low rate when you can switch to the high.

also, regarding the HK kits: this is a nice build thread (70 pages long and counting, lol). supposedly they're coming out with a 600 kit soon too... the nice thing about them is that align parts are interchangeable.

I think the dual rate is to click the right stick?
Flashing light mode(low?)feels like less swash travel?

yep... if you have the RTF version (stock controller comes with it), you push the right stick. if you have a dx6i or dx7, it's the gyro switch.

yea i dare anyone to move the links on their MSR and then try to fly full speed from one room to another through a door way, for me its from my living room into my kitchen and i have to be in a hell of a bank to make it clean with out hitting a wall in the kitchen.

so far ive got about a 60% succes rate....... and yes the other 40% i either couldnt get it turned around in the kitchen in time to slow it down or i smashed it into the doorway/wall at full tilt (ive only broke 1 blade grip and 1 landing gear)

E-flight has a new model coming out in febuary . It's called the sr . My boss at the hobby shop says it's about the size of a cp in length but has longer rotor blades . .

The 400 is a really good deal all in all and is a pretty stable heli. Start getting into the Trex 600 size and you can fly without your heart jumping out of ya!

that cp was a biaaaatch....i thought about adding a gyro to make it better, but thought i should cut my losses and let it go. i got a great deal on a BNF 400, and the same guy shot me a text saying he found another one in his basement (he has a lot of heli's, lol) and all that was missing was a gyro and rx... so i got that one for a full set of spare parts. all told, i got both for $280.

andrew, i'm stoked about a 600. i know on the sim it's SO much easier to fly than the 400!

The reason I'm not on here as much as I used to be is because I have been spending all my time on the helifreak forum. Is that cheating, I feel kind of dirty, I like it. Anyway I have 2 esky coaxials and a Trex 500 and a Trex 250. I don't fly the coaxials much cause they suck. I have never crashed my Trexs but I crash the coaxs just about every time I fly them.

Sims are a must. Only 2 things can teach you inverted hover in my opinion and that's the real thing or the sim. I don't have the bank balance to practice on the real thing so I practice on the sim.

I just got a msr as well, and also got the new hyperion lipo's(25c130mah) for it. Hyperion is coming with a charge adapater so you can charge your msr lipo's with a quality charger.

I used to have a coax for the living room, but it was still too big and noisy. The msr is perfect for in the living room and really durable.

aaah, you're right. i thought i read somewhere that it was belt driven. looks like it has a little tail motor after all.
