Also, any trouble with hand glued tires unmounting or is it better to go with premount's that have a lip on the mounting bead.
It would be nice to set up my 8ight for speed at some point since I already have everything else required. (the tires in my avatar great speed run tires too, but one of the foams as blown out making the set unusable).

i've never tried to do speed runs without getting my tires pre-mounted. i can't glue tires for shit, so i probably would be the wrong person to offer an opinion there.

this one was just built. i'm going to be doing some speed runs today with it. last summer i did over 100 with one very similiar.

i can run for probably 5 minutes at a time before cooling with 45/26, then heat becomes more of an issue every few teeth i go up in my pinion or come down in my spur. At 43/30, I can get probably 8-10 full speed passes before i see temps over 165.
in the summer, i run a fan over my motor powered off a 3S heli lipo.
