I cant remember where i read this but I thought I heard something about people running the truggy ring and pinion in there 8ight BL buggy conversions instead of the buggy gears? Does anyone know anything about this? Putting together a 8ight 1.0 now with a mamba monster 2200 kv.
The reason for doing this was so you could run a reasonable size pinion spur combination if you were using a motor with a KV too high to otherwise gear correctly. Like in the early days of brushless with guys running the 3000KV Neus on 4S.
You shouldn't really need to do this with a 2000KV motor (unless you are running it on 6S).
However, if you do want to do it, I have a brand new pair of 8 truggy diffs I'll sell you a reasonable price. (I at one point had too high a KV motor but it needed service anway so I just swapped it for the right KV when I sent it to Neu for repair. So I never used the truggy diffs.)
