I agree. It's just the right size IMO for smaller areas and has proven to be quite durable so far. I recently put in 120k fluid in the center diff and front tire ballooning has been greatly reduced. Perfect for bashing and still usable on a track, as long as you're not being competitive.

I'm running my lipos "on edge" so the straps were a little too short for me too. They would fit laying down, but the wires would be bent too much for my liking. I just used some double sided velco (from Lowe's; comes in a roll).

What screw issue did you have? The kit I got came with all the screws needed for the tray and the motor mount. Some were re-used from the kit (mixed std and metric).

A MMM 2200 system on 4s will be killer! Even a "buggy" size motor is more than enough. I'm getting at least 45 minute runtimes on 4s 5Ah, and still have yet to get to LVC, and at the end, everything is barely warm (I'd say ~10-15*F above ambient). The only time I was getting warm temps was when I was winding the motor out doing speed runs for 15 minutes straight, and even then temps were still well within the safe zone.

I will update the kit packing list to include some extra screws - better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them. Likewise, the kit includes a 10" battery strap, but we can substitute an 11" strap for the larger batteries upon request - I use a 4s 4200mah pack in mine - balances very well, fits the 10" strap perfectly, runs like hell and gets a great runtime. Larger pack may be best served with the 11" strap.

I agree with others on the truck - it has exceeded my expectations in the fun department - I think i could put a beat-down on the 1/8 buggies at my track with the right setup on this little beast. It certainly is impressive in its handling and durability so far (and like everyone else it seems, I blew the stock front tires off the rims the 1st time I ran a 5s through it).

I ran 5s though mine a couple of times. Man, it was ballistic! Almost too much. 4s is much more manageable.

Agreed - 4s with the 1900Kv buggy combo is as close to perfect as I can imagine. The 5s run was just for fun(and it was fun)!

I like my crazy speed runs - so had to go with 6S. The front wheels are like pizza cutters. I am going to heed your advice and run it on 4S to save wear and tear on the whole set up.

Mike had included all the screws that I needed to finnish the installation. I mixed some of the Losi imperial screws when mounting the diff. I could not find the correct screws for the battery tray so had to use some of my own countersunk M3.

Battery strap was way too short - used double sided velcro and extended strap so I can fit taller batteries.

Mike - will you be offering spares such as the Delrin spur in the future?

The spur is listed, but no picture - when I get the black spurs done I will get the picture into the listing. Nothing else really needs to be listed separately aside from the battery tray(in the drop down menu with the other battery trays now). :)

Totally agree with that. Set up a 1900kv in my hyper 9e recently and it seems just about perfect. Nice smooth power band and enough power to keep up with anything on the track.

Naah, i thourght the price was abit high, and when it came online i had just got my E-revo and Xray t2....
And because of the ash from the icelandic vulcano the danish airspace is closed, so it will be even more delayed :@

I see everyone is going with lower kv 8th scale motors. What do you guys think about a novak HV motor? I know the can's longer but still not considered an 8th scale system.

I think the hvmaxx will do much better in a lighter vehicle like this vs a full-on 1/8 truck or MT. I wouldnt like to guess at gearing, but either 3s or 4s lipo would be fine depending on the kv used.
