I was going to buy the Losi 1/36 Xceleron 10250kV system for one of my Micro-Ts, and the 8750kV system for the other, but now I'm just not sure. I know Viverrine makes 1/36 car brushless systems, but are there any other 1/36 brushless systems available?

Havoc, you destroyed your drive train maybe because you didn't use punch control. I use it a lot, and I find the power delivering very smooth, totally different from a no pucnh control configuration.

It never destroyed my drive train, I said it sounded like it. I said I dialed it down, which, in essence meant I used options like punch control and what not. The Mamba Monster Combo is meant for "Holy crap, my monster truck can do standing back flips, jump sixteen feet in the air and shred its rim hexes." There is nothing wrong with that, but as a viable race option, its not the best pick. I would rather have a lot more programming options within the full band of the esc/motor combo capability then just the bottom 30% of it. With the friggin Mamba Monster, I had to set my EPA for brakes at like 30-40% or the truck front flipped. The Tekin lets me sit around 70% and is smooth.

The Mamba Monster is INSANELY powerful and can take a hell of a beating, but for a smooth race setup, the Tekin is the way to go. Again, this is just my opinion and what I have experienced. Castle is a great company and makes some nice stuff, minus the POS Sidewinder, so don't take this as "I hate Castle" or something.

If you go with the Monster and its too much, check out the Slipperential, its badass and may help smooth things out.

Correct me if i am wrong , but after you get to mid rpm range dont these controllers both have very simmilar adjustability?

Yes, the MMM is sensorless the whole time...the RX8 starts out sensored, then switches to sensorless when the RPM gets to a certain point (not sure at what RPM it goes sensorless, though).

The brake is very smooth too on the Mamba Monster, I don't see how I can front flip my truggy, but I tried. The Mamba motors can handle more power, so they run cooler and more efficient than the tekin motors if geared for the same speed in heavy vehicle like truggies, that's why I would always choose the MM instead the tekin combo. Better to can gear up than to have to gear down.

that's nonsense... sorry. I've been driving a xcelorin 1700kv on 5s, it's an excellent motor, with lots of torque. You just have to keep the motor sealed, to avoid sand getting inside, that kills the kevlar on the magnets. I have now a Medusa, and I think medusa isn't any better at all:
