If you want this to be disc brake'd, you need a adaptor ring thingy for disc's on the output's of the diff and a system to activate the brake's, sorta like your idea. Add another 50$ or so for a quad disc brake set-up. :004:
You may have something there, what are your gearing options (in other words what spur gears can you run). Got any pictures? What chassis you running? Is the center diff good for offroading? How does it hold up?
