Does anyone make a mod 1 6mm pinion.Just in case my 1717 has a 6mm shaft?

It should be 5mm. But if not, a 6mm drill bit would do the job.

Castle does have the 5mm rotors for the 1717. I'm sure they would swap out, or it would be a minimal charge. I mean you just got a $200+ motor for 70...

Drill out a pinion, Especially a RCM Pinion ?
HAHAHAHAHA, you clearly have no idea how hard "Hardened Steel" is.
