You can connect the motor wires to the controller wires (three blue wires) in any order. Changing the rotation direction is quite simple. When you use the external bec, you should remove the black jumper. To wire the bec, solder the red wire from the bec to the deans on the controller (same place you solder the red controller wire), and the black to the other deans (again, the same place you soldered the black controller wire). Then it should plug into the receiver as you mentioned. make sure you have nice solder joints and you should be in good shape. Let me know if you need any more help.
