Not sure about the Phoenix software, but the Mamba XL is up on Castle's website.

Looks like a ICE 200 with a fan. It would be great if I could use the software on my ICE 200's so I can use them with my pistol radio's!

You can run your ICE 200 with a pistol radio with this:

pistix

I have tried the Pistix adapters and I can't get the throttle response correct. I can pull over 1/4 throttle before the motor will move. I also can't get the ESC to see full throttle.

Huh - I've been using a pistix for a while now with an ICE HV 160 with no issues. I didn't have to mess with any adjustments to get it to work - maybe I was just lucky?

Just a simple Tactic 2.4GHz (I started out with a Spektrum DX2 but was unhappy with the range I was getting).

I am using a DX3R radio. Maybe I will try the new Futaba 4PL radio and see if that does the trick.

Raydee, you may want to see if you have a neutral band adjustment on your radio. I could see if it was set too high causing the issue you are describing :-)

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

I did calibrate the radio and there was no difference.

Well, I'm loving my Mamba XL, and being the impatient goof that I am, I am buying a Phoenix Ice HV 120 for my 10SC. I will run it on 8S with mechanical brakes and a 1515/2Y (1100kv).

It sure would be sweet if the Mamba XL software would work on this smaller version so I could ditch the mech brakes...

i dont think they will offer mech brakes for HV systems as they cant handle the spikes created by braking... hence they came out with car versions...

Well, if the Mamba XL is a ICE 200 12S capable controller with software that supports 8S and motor brakes, shouldn't an ICE 120 12S capable controller be able to use the same software for 8S with motor brakes?
