I use one of these and I also have a set of helping hands. Between the two of them, I'm set for any job. I like the KillerBee jig when soldering extensions to servo/ESC leads.
Wow I've never seen anybody have such and issue with soldering before. Try soldering a side by side ni-cad pack back in the day. I don't know about others but after so many years and countless deans and other solder jobs I have never used a jig and never will. Y'all need to man up them sissy fingers! Lol
You guys are such hardcore manly men. I posted a review about a tool that I like. I hate to drag you guys into the 21st. century but you no longer have to pump water by hand or go outside to take a crap. If you are not into using something new that’s great but why run your mouth because others may find it useful. Get a life.
Dang bro. I know you're old and such but you need to cool down a bit. Is that what they call in your 60's crisis? Just go for a ride with your Harley or jump off of an airplane like you've done many times bafore .
I remember you from the kiddie forum .
You posted it here so you're going to get both good and not so good opinions.

Ha ha ha ha........ Some people are just wound tighter than others. I think the sarcastic banter and badgering is one of my favorite parts of this forum. Yes it's a cool jig but I'm still a whipersnapper and can see without my octafocals and my hands don't shake to badly yet.... Lighten up man were just havin some fun here. Everyone has different needs some will love it and others don't need it.
Ditto. It's like some people like WYSIWYG editors because they are soooo easy, while others still swear by VI despite its less-than-intuitive interface....
Your review is appreciated and it's a clever tool but you must realize most members here have ben soldering long befor jigs were availible and have overcome the need for such in various ways. While no one has said the jig is junk or unreliable we just do certain things our way due to being the grizzled old bastards we are.
Also, lighten up. You'll pop a gasket if you get upset about a little ribbing around here, they take that as a sign of weakness and then swarm in for the kill.
I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
How can plastic draw heat from the connector? All I use it for is deans. It allows for a quick, clean joint with having to hold a hot wire with your fingers. If you feel it is useless I think you may be using it wrong.

Try to read what i've wrote into the (). You can use it to solder the deans, but if you use it to solder round connectors the jig works like a heat sink and this is a bad thing when you are welding. Deans are to small for my use so, for me, the jig is useless.
