agreed, I left a less than perfect review and never saw it posted.

I almost Larty Snartblasted myself on that one. And with Jerry saying he almost pissed himself, I started thinking what if you sneeze, fart, shit your pants and laugh so hard that you also piss yourself. And how about it ends with a snot bubble coming out of your nose?

This is the common side effect of owning any MA product.

Not the cheapest packs but they will do the job.
You may have said this elsewhere, if so sorry for repeating..

Full disclosure, didn't you get the packs for free or at least heavily discounted? I say that because with the fat MaxAmps logo in the vids I expect they helped out.

And yes, maybe they will get the job done. The same as most other ~30C packs that cost about 1/10 the price will also get the job done. If MA was putting labels on turnigy packs they could put "True 300C" on them, because they prolly perform better than their packs.

The Maxamps hit the LVC and took about 5000mah IIRC.
So how about it Arct1k?

I'm sure you kicked in data logging for the Turnigy's too.

Can we have side by side graphs in the same setup?

Turnigy's versus Maxamps.

Ah yes, the inevitable SBFN (snot bubble from nose). And if you happen to be wearing shorts and have eaten mexican or indian food in the last 10hrs you will also be the proud owner of SSS (shart stained socks).

And you will do all of the above as you are running to your truck, flailing your arms like a sissy little girl as you watch hundred of dollars melting due to a overdrawn firey lipo.

I've been away at motorama for the weekend with Mike - Whilst the logging is fun once or twice I actually don't do it often and as there is no way to reset the logs from the rx its a PITA.

I'll try to do a BTB compare tomorrow...

These were the charts:

Is this a data log with the *150* C packs?
If so what is the Mah of the packs?
And how low is your cutoff set???

P.s. thanks for posting up a graph

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

I think the 150c packs are all 6500mah

Built Ford tough, with Chevy stuff.

I think we can read Chris' statements just for what they say (as I think he means them to be read w/o having to say too much.)

They do the job. They aren't cheap. 'Bout the same as Turnigies. Says quite a lot imo.

Graphs are a bit different on the discharges.
1st one shows a 3.75v/cell @20C
2nd shows 3.5v @ 27C. Also starts 1V lower

I'm hoping the 2nd set is Turnigies. Both are a long way off from 150C.

1st set looks maybe 40Cish
2nd, 30C seems fair

Edit: Chris's comment below. All graphs are MA.
>_<

Correct...

Unfortunately it snowed last night so a comparison set of charts is off for at least 2 weeks...

I'm on travel so I can't post the graphs but I'm seeing spikes above 200A consistently. I'm running a 5T (many aluminum goodies) with Thunder Power 50C batteries.

One question I did have was the sample rate, I assume all of the samples are point in time so the system simply does a read on the tick it should. I set the rate at the highest (100ms) to make sure I had the greatest chance of catching things but even paring down the values recorded still only results in ~8m of log time. Based on my work on programmable circuits I assume it's done this way given basic constructs however I wanted to mention it in case I'm off base.

I'll bring this thread back once again with this link to a thread I started on the Baja forum regarding ripple voltage data:

http://www.hpibajaforum.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=103238

Note that tuclai reports 12% maximum ripple voltage from a certain set of batteries.

Looks like your friend tuclai is in need of some 200C or better batteries. Give them another couple months and I'm sure they will have them out.
