Castle 2650kv side free play - 04.04.2011, 04:33 AM

Is this normal? It is a relatively new motor.

I've sent this to Castle support email with no reply. So much for support.

Yeah, looking closely the bearing seems just fine, I think the bearing housing is bad. Maybe it came out like that from Castle, can be sure.

Will the repair kit cover this?

Thanks...

This is odd, this motor has 6 runs in it. Anyway, maybe I should replace it with something better.Any recommendations?

If youre adjusting the gear mesh to tight you could end up with that problem in half a run.

The bearing is glued in his housing. After some run (100-150 batteries for me), the glue does'nt glue anymore and you have to reglue it, other than that the housing will take some play (but not immediatly).
Anyway it's not normal to have this kind of side play after a few run.
