Thanks Hippie, sarcasm often doesn't translate well in words does it
Speaking of Lance - his winning career was just starting in 1995 when that horrible accident involving Fabio Casartelli forever changed the Motorola team. I'll never forget him winning a stage a few days after & pointing to the sky as he crossed the line...it was also Indurain's last Tour victory & the year I stopped road riding

That was pretty sad what happened to Fabio casartelli. I believe Marco Pantani was hurt as well.

What up guy's ?. Its been a while since i posted here. I have been riding a lot. I ride on average 150 + miles a week. I have been riding with the A group on our Saturday rides, 22- 24 mph + average & with a local Team during the week, even faster speeds . I found out during my middle of the week rides. The guys I"m riding with race in the CAT5 Masters class. So needless to say i get Dropped fairly easily . But that is the only way i am going to get faster. I also just bout some Shimano Carbon fiber cycling shoes http://www.shimano.com/publish/conte...0G.-type-.html & some new Look http://www.lookcycle.com/en/us/route...keo-2-max.html White clipless peadals for my Madone. I put my old Look Pedals on my fixie. Also i just ordered this today, http://www.camelbak.com/Sports-Recre...ebak-Mens.aspx, It should be here next week. I ordered this as well, http://www.fullspeedahead.com/produc...K-Wing-Compact It moves the computer from the stem or your handle bars. To in FR of the stem. So when your in your drops or Aero Position, you can see your Computer easier

Man I wish I could still bike. Carbon fiber shoes!

The technology amazes me. I can see how this is a fun hobby.

I imagine you'll just put straight vodka in the camelbak?

Hey hippe. It's warming up here in NY so I'm just getting back to riding heavy again. I need to put my bike computer back on for sure so I can start logging miles. On the other hand I've found a cool hill on the way home from school that I can get up to 45mph on(captured by gps) if I really spin.
The shoes and clips are nice I've always wanted to try them but I decided to go for the cheaper way and get metal toe clips instead. I also just changed my handlebars to bullhorns and I love them. I gotta upload some pics of my bike soon. Oh and good luck with the riding fixie should help if your running the right ratio.

Just the soles are Carbon fiber. It makes the shoes really stiff. So all the energy from your pedaling goes to the cranks. thats a big no on the Vodka . Im a sissy & will just use water .

Bigboi

I tried bull horns on my fixie & did not like them. I switched to Road bars with brake hoods . Which is kind of like bull horns but different. . Once you try clipless pedals. You will not go back to regular pedals.

Hey guy's. Just yesterday I got this in the mail - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BlackNew-4GB-...item20b8156cd7

The radio reception on it is rubbish but mp3 sound is good. I haven't made a call on the bluetooth yet. Hope it will be ok.

I was a bit surprised when Dad said he wanted a look at it, but then he get's a few calls when he riding.

Whats up guys ? - 09.22.2011, 05:27 PM

I have not posted in a while. But i check the site all the time. I got a new item for my Road bike. I bought a Garmin 800 for my bike. Here are all the specs.
http://g.factoryoutletstore.com/deta...-edge-800.html . I got the bundle setup, which comes with a speed & cadence meter & a Heart rate monitor & maps. The bundle normally costs $650.00, with me working at a bike shop at the time & haggling. i got the price down to $545.00. I had enough credit built up that, it only cost me $65.00 out of pocket. This thing does everything. It also has the capability of running a Power meter if i get one in the Future. A power meter for those who don't know. Is a device that measures how many watts a person is producing, when there on the Bike.

You'd prob enjoy your bike the most if you removed the seat.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
