MMM vs MGM 16018, resistance

I have a couple of MGM ESC's myself, but have not run them because of the customer support issues. I started a thread last month about the fact that I am living in Prague now and will be here for the next few years, so I am planning to pay a visit to the MGM shop in Zlin, Czech Republic once our van arrives and we can take a drive out there. I have exchanged emails with one of the owners (Martin) and we are looking forward to discussing the matter to see if this can be resolved. His view on the matter at this point is that they are already doing everything they can from a foreign location perspective, but he is willing to hear complaints and if there is a better solution he is all ears. Our van should be here in the next few weeks, and then we can make plans for the trip. From what I am able to assess on our TomTom GPS this will be a 5 hour drive just to get there so the wife and I will plan an overnight stay and hopefully I will get to spend some time at the MGM shop.
