thinking on convert a 2.5 or 3.3 revo

hello.
currently i own a e-maxx that i usually run on single 3s lipo with vxl esc and a hv 5.5 motor.
i have the truck as light as possible and i am happy with it!

but and what about this setup on a revo 2.5 or 3.3 chassis?
will be lighter and faster than my e-maxx?

i don´t want to go for 4s setups since i have many 3s lipos and it seems that is enough for the kind of use i give to my trucks.

help and information will be welcome!!

my general project is a light single battery monster on 3s only.
