Help needed with pics, Motor Neu

Exclamation Help needed with pics, Motor Neu - 06.02.2011, 03:20 PM

Hi guys need a bit of help, doing a brushless baja, bought the motor, had a look at another baja build, and it seems is shaft length is short my one? and the other one seems longer does Neu make diiferent size ones, as when I ordered it I am sure there was no longer onbe available

Neu's site lists the standard shaft length as .75"

I've never owned a 22xx series motor - but I've seen pictures of ones that appear to have longer shafts than yours - like this one (from OSE's site):

I would contact Neu directly and see if you can get a replacement rotor with a longer shaft- there are so many different versions of cans & 2 shaft size options ( 5mm & 8mm ), it may be that the longer shaft version is for a specific purpose vs the regular .75" version you seem to have...

it's not a problem, just put the setscrew on the pinion facing the motor

Harold means install the pinion so that the tooth-side is facing outward, and the side with the set-screw is closest to the motor- you may have to hang the pinion off the shaft a little bit but give it a go and see how it looks.

with the photos I think is possible work good ........... ¿you tried to put the pinion on the motor shaft?
