Seriously?

Any kind of motor means any kind of brushed 540 motor.

Brushed escs do not have the ability to run BL motors; the epicness of your fail is matched only by the appallingness of your soldering ( exposed joints nearly touching = very bad ).

Seriously, who on earth does stuff like this-even the guys on the traxxas forum atleast ask if you can run a BL motor on a brushed esc & viceversa.

You need a new BL esc, and probably a new motor too maybe- traxxas VXL system is fairly idiot proof, or look at the Castle Sidewinder SCT system for 2s lipo / 6-9cell nimh use...

OK, Einstein, if I wired it wrong, why don't you tell me how to wire it?

Until I put my RS Pro/10.5 combo in my 2w SCT, I ran a Cyclone TC2 with a Trinity 550 can brushed motor (originally intended for the E-maxx) rewound to a 9t single.

I'm not buying some garbage Traxxas electronics, that would be a waste of money.

And more to the point, were you able to actually see how a Cyclone is laid out, it's damn near impossible to have the solder joints touch...care to explain to me how my solder joints are bad? I've only been soldering on Novak Cyclones longer than your girlfriend has been alive.

Your ESC CANNOT run brushless motors NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!
You will have to buy a NEW ESC for brushless motors and you also may need a new motor the BRUSHED ESC could have easily DESTROYED it.

Brushless technology is in the most part REVERSE COMPATIBLE with brushed motors (ALWAYS CHECK MANUFACTURES OWNERS MANUAL!)
Brushed technology is NOT FORWARD COMPATIBLE with brushless.

IMO you need to buy a complete new set up especially if you are not knowledgeable on the 2 technologies unknowing the difference from brushed to brushless.
That being said I have run Novaks Castle Creations and Traxxas systems the Novaks are the weakest ESCs imo they die WAY to easily altho perfom seamless when they work.
Traxxas is ok,great for watery adventures.
My MMM by CC that I waterproofed is the awesome saucer IMO.

There are many solutions to your predicament.
Hope you find a viable one in short order GL.

Dude,This is my last comment on this, because i believe this is a ride we are being taken on. There is no answer for your problem, but this one. Stay in the brushed pool with the esc, or get a proper Brushless esc and have fun. I'm not getting sucked in by this:rof l:

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

This ESC is toast, but luckily I have a backup Tekin G12CIII to throw in here with a 13x1.

Novak will still service the Cyclone, so for a few bucks and a couple weeks wait, I will have one good as new.

Are you going to try the Tekin 13.5 with that esc, too?

Im guessing thats a brushed esc after seeing some pics of it.

Okay, so one more time:

BRUSHLESS MOTORS DO NOT WORK WITH BRUSHED ESCS.

Now STFU & GTFO you idiotic troll who knows nothing about escs & motors, or the ban hammer awaits...

Slimthelineman would expect nothing less from the funkyjunky and his phony credentials. Yup a three wire brushed controller will run a brushless motor fine! Ha ha.

FYI if your only cutting your comm every 10-14 race days your retarded. Brushed motors need more service than that. Your getting 30+ runs on a cut and set of brushess? Makes no sense. Even when I ran the round brush checkpoints I had to cut every ten runs or less to keep the motor runnin like a raped ape.

Why didn't you post this on rctech huh?
