Good news everyone!
HPI aparantly is planing on providing better looking bodies for the XS.
Namely Wrangler Rubicon and El Camino SS
Where I got this info?
HPI Europe provided the manual.

After looking at the manual, I may have to recall my earlier statement about the likelines of aluminum TVPs beeing available though.
Seems the battery tray and the "caseing" of the motor/servo are molded into the plastic TVPs, that's going to be interesting

Not so nice is the fact, that you can't adjust pinion tolerances freely.
There are only a few fixed mounting positions to choose from.
But, from what I can tell from the manual, the optional HD heat sink motor mount seems to adress that point.

And for those of you still worried about the typo on HPIs website, with the 10mm or what not wheel hexes.
Not only are all the rims listed as compatible with 12mm hexes, but the manual says the hexes are 12mm as well.
So, no worries there any more.

Congratz, I think I'll give my LHS a call next week and preorder one as well.
Sadly, release date in Germany is not before mid October.

@t9dragon:
Please keep us posted on those two XSs of yours, especially me, since I have to wait for another month...

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW.......................................... It is one BAD ASS truck.....

This little truck can take a beating.. My son and I bashed them hard for an hour at the school parking lot by our house. There is a soccer field that slopes to a small drainage area than it goes back up to the parking lot.. My son on several occassions had his XS 6-7 feet in the air and of coarse dad didn't get those jumps and landings on camera. We used to bash our 4wd Slashes at the same spot and after bay 15-20 mins we would have to come home because something on the Slash would break. After an hour of bashing the only thing that is messed up on the XS's are the bodies.. I hope there are bodies and parts soon for these little guys so we can bash them even harder... I will have more pics and video posted later today...

Temps after one battery were Motor 151, ESC 115, Battery 110

IN ONE WORD to DESCRIBE these TRUCKS is "AWESOME" just like it's big brother FLUX HP and it's nitro cousins...

Here are some videos from our bashing today. We were running from the grass to the pavement, so the trucks took a hard beating.

I don't think there is anything harder on a rc then jumping and landing them on pavement.
