I do have a red one but it's in good shape on my summit. This ones already beat up so I don't cringe as much when bashing it. I dont particularly care for the white either.

Very good video Chainsaw, good control of the truck in the air. I am thinking to sold my Mt4 for the team magic TROOPER E6 what did we think ?

With the Mt4 G3 is very difficult to make a 360 (donut) compare to a monster truck with transmission.

I never heard of that truck until now. Looks nice but I cant find much info on it. I would like to see some videos of it on 5 and 6s lipo.

steering is about the only thing lacking on the MT4-g3, but I think the durability and simplicity of it outweighs that flaw. Theres got to be a way to get it to steer better.

Donuts are fun but I wouldnt sell the truck just because it cant do them.

Hey Samintrepid. I just put on some new tires today and it makes a world of difference in turning radius and spinning the truck around.. I used Traxxas Response Pro tires on white offset dish rims. The truck handles much better now...wont last on pavement though. Only did this one run so far.....I will chime back in once I run them a bunch of times.

Another great video Chainsaw, this is the proof that the MT-4 G3 are capable of donut and less turning radius without stock tire. Did you have tried the other two hole in the steering link for better turning ?

I think i will sell only the transmitter an receiver of the mt4 for 80$ and one of my two mini savage for 220$ = 300$ for the future E6 !

Sounds like a plan. I'm curious to see more about that truck. Parts availability would be the main concern.... Like others have said.


And yes I have it screwed to the outer holes in the steering slider. And I tightened up servo saver quite a bit.

Yeah, I did the same today. Put on some truggy tires and the difference was huge. It didn't want to lift the front as much but was very tail happy. I could get the rear to slide out with almost no effort. Donuts, for those who like to do them, were easy as on the pavement. Almost as easy as with a 1/10th touring car. I actually have to admit that I had a bit of fun doing them.

Smaller wheels tires really change this truck. It kind of goes back to being more of a truggy but I guess it isn't such a bad thing. I still like the big tires and will use them for jumping and other rough stuff. Other thing to note is that you loose a lot of the ride height. There are holes on the shock towers that mount the shock a lot lower and that should make up for some lost ground clearance. I am going to run this truck tomorrow at the track and see how that goes.

I have also dialed out some of the front toe out. This also gave the truck a whole new feel. It was very responsive to steering input. Really twitchy on the road but should be OK on the track or loose surface. Doing speed runs would be crazy with steering setup like this but lots of fun if you want to make tight turns at reasonable speeds.

Lookin forward to your opinion of it at the track. I also like the variety aspect of having completely different tire set ups for different situations.
