1/8 GTP geared for high speed. What ESC settings for MMM? - 08.30.2012, 07:32 PM

I got my Ofna Late Model geared for 135mph with a 2200kv on 6S. When trying to take off the car goes very slowly, but if I'm not careful with the throttle it will spin the tires. What settings should I use to get smooth take offs that are proportional to how much throttle I'm applying? Should I set it to High power take off?

Maybe the Torque Control will help with your take off issues ?

Post video !

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

I'll have to look into that. As for a video, I'll try to make one this weekend but I first have to figure out how to keep it on the ground. It blew over something fierce today, was probably doing 90 at the time. Landed on its lid and broke a rear body mount which has since been CA'ed.

If you are running the rear wing try taking it off. will help with blow overs.

Yeah, I just took it off while fixing the rear body post. I also lowered the front body mounts one notch. I'll get some video tomorrow and strap the gps on.

What firmware version are you running on the MMM? Did you update it recently? Is it an older MMM? Maybe try an earlier version of firmware.

Yeah, that's going to have to wait yet again. I blew the tires off. Belted ofna's suck. There's a guy on youtube that went 129mph this month on GRP's so I just ordered a set of those.
