Yes, still have the 6x6 maxx. I have a set of al bulks, from new era, that I need to mod to accept the rear chassis. Basically using a rear bulk, and altering where the bumper stands mount to look just like the area of the bulk where the chassis plate bolts. I now have a mini mill, so I can weld them up, and miching them to shape, thread the holes, etc.

I would also like to make an al pass thru diff case. It may be easier to buy regular al cases, and cut them in half and weld them up. Need to find diff cases made out of good material. Hopefully the fastlane diff cases will work. Or I may just go with lst diffs in the maxx. They are stronger.

Got it running - 07.19.2012, 10:29 PM

Got it running today, not to bad need to loctite stuff. has a tight turning radius. Need to loc the center diff even with 130,000 wt oil in a ofna spider diff it still unloads the diff and spins the front wheels but no more wheelies
Weighs in at 20 pounds with 5000 6S lipo more to come this will make a nice weapons platform for a remote paintball gun.

Kyosho makes a 500,000 wt fluid.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

Some updates - 09.09.2012, 08:34 PM

Got it running pretty well, I'm using a monster pirate HD diff with a 63t spur gear and a 9 tooth pinion gear. Welded together 2 rollcages to make one because I couldn't find a body with the proper wheel base. With a 24" wheelbase and being now 23lbs it may be bigger than some 1/5 cars. Next is the paint ball gun mount Mobile weapons platform
