Best i can think of is this,if you're right hand is the good hand then a wheel/trigger transmitter which is either left handed or has the ability to run the wheel in the left hand side (usually for left handed people) is what i would suggest.Sounds odd but here's why;then you can hold it in your right hand and control the throttle with your index finger and steer with your thumb on the back of the wheel.We call this the Batfish technique owing to his lack of a camera man.
if it's your right side that's out of action then a normal right handed wheel transmitter held in the left hand with the same technique.That and plenty of practice is all i can think of unless there's something specific available but i've not heard of one.

i guess this is what you're doing now though so this probably isn't much help.
We'll put our thinking caps on for you though.

Edit: the 8 or 9 XL on 14 cells sounds like what you want,the 9xl will be a little slower but run a little longer,neither should cause heat or smoking problems,geared correctly of course.
