what if i run 1 pack of 4200mah 2s2p lipos?will it make a difference versus 12cells of 3800mah packs in series?

and so after i take that center red wire i can just plug my batts or i need to do something else?and will i still need the external bec?or i can put the external bec and leave the red wire connected?

2s2p is only 7.4v so you would need a 4s2p to run like 12 cells (14.4v) (actually you wuold run better on lipo)

You also NEED AN EXTERNAL BEC like a UBEC or RECIVER PACK. you can't just pull out the red wire. (you need it disconected with UBEC).

I would run a bec no matter what. It's a lot cheaper than an esc. Can't help with the lipo ? as I don't know much about them.

BrianG, It only took me 2 tries to get it perfect. One day back from vacation and I'm ready to hijack another thread.

so do i still need the UBEC if i connect the rx hump pack?
connecting the rx pack will solve this?can some one pls show me a pic of the wires?
btw the quark125b can run 5s?so the 4s2p will let me run it without the bec or i still need it?

No, you can run one or the other. Ans with the Quark, you can run 5s on it. Just make to remove the red wire and use the rx pack.

here is a pic, the ubec is on the side of my reciever box. You wire it to the battery connectors, the nother that has the plug for the reciever, obviously goes into the receiver.

Ok, bad pic..to small...one sec

this is with my 9920, but is the same as setting up the Qaurk. When using a UBEC or an RX pack, that replaces the bec in the controller. So when you use an rx pack, or the ubec, THEN you pull the red wire.

Yes, just run your hump pack and pull the red wire. The ubec replaces the hump pack if you wanted to loose some weight and have a smaller package. Either way will work
