I think the Polyquest 5s 4400 pack is the best bang for the buck. It's $187 bucks a pack, but it's 12C continuous and 16C for 10 seconds. 16 x 4400 is like 70 amps for 10 seconds and at approx 15 volts (at those draws) we're looking at over 1000 watts for 10 seconds and I bet over 1300 watts peak. I have two of these. I'm either gonna go 18.5 volt 8800 mah or.... 37 volts 4400 mah. It weighs a pound an a quarter. I've actually never ran this pack yet - they're just sitting pretty in the ammo box.
A single pack should run an emaxx with a 2400XL or 10L for a good 10-15 maybe 20 minutes easily and it should be able to go into the 40's no problem. You're have to run the motor, receiver, controller, BEC or receiver pack, and steering servo on one side to offset the 20 ounces on the other side. You'd still be outta balance though (depending on motor). That would make a great race setup - less wires all over the place too. A 4400 polyquest can almost deliver as many amps as a 3200 Kokam, weigh very close, but run another 30% longer and cost 50 bucks less!
