The only disadvantage to the CF one is that chassis modifications are somewhat limited. I bent a couple of pieces as part of my design, which you can't do with CF. The best you can do there is cut parts off and bolt something else on if something custom is needed.

If you plan to go with the CF one, I'd pick up a stock aluminum one on eBay cheaply to experiment with. Once you have the design done, then just swap everything over to the CF chassis. Beats cutting up an expensive CF chassis and then deciding you shouldn't have done that.

Or, just go with the G2R...
