The upper plate will most likely be carbon fiber on the next one, thats why it really isnt lightend up at all. That was just to test the general design.

Interesting.

Are you planning on releasing any quantities of the new design one you complete the R&D phase?

Looks like a nice design. Like it. :027: Its very different from the other stuff out there. A few questions...

What is the size of that battery tray. What size lipo will fit?

How do you hold the battery in place. Some sort of strap or something?.

Is there anything to protect the motor? It really looks exposed hanging down ther on the bottom of the chassis.

The motor mount plate and and the diff mount plates look like they could bea easily damaged if you land on the top of a jump if you muissed a double or something. They just stick down and arent supported. For that matter the motor would probably take a good hit in that scenario also.

I think if you could come up with some sort of skid that ran down the middle on the underside it would all look alot more protected down there.

I'm sure Im not pointing out anything new to you, but I am wondering what you think.

EDIT: I actually like the top plate aluminum vs CF. It looks like a nice flat place to mount the Quark on and act as a GIANT heatsink. Do you think they would be available in both Alluminum and CF?

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

The battery holder holds the 4s and 5s (all we tested) 5000mah cells. It bolts in ( in two places on the one in picture, but now its 4 places). The motor mount is pretty solid, you would never hit it if you cased a jump, if you did somehow, it wouldnt hurt it. The motor has a skid under it (not shown). We can do them carbon fiber or aluminum, or sell just the transmission, just the front and rear section (so you can build your own chassis without having to make the correct bends or anything).

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Any estimate though? Less than G2R chassis?
