I just set up a mamba max with a 7XL on 5s just to see what it would do, Man that thing is nasty

didn't run too much, maybe 5 minutes. transmission blew. this was in a Gmaxx, not the G2R

Na, it was a 4 year old idler gear and a sloppy conversion that happened. going with a new plastic idler and a gorilla half tranny conversion
