powerstroke shock spring questions

The stock springs (yellow/red) are rated as what? I see that you can buy soft, firm and ultra firm and perhaps others. Anyhow Im not real crazy bout the stock colored ones as the ride height of the truck rides to low, but if I crank em down then its to stiff. I know nothing bout shock set up so please help. Im looking for max ground clearance yet supple ride. FWIW im running 30w oil.

Another thing is the truck dont seem to bottom out when compressing the front or rear. Is this a good or bad thing. Im thinking that if I slammed the ground to hard it might damage the shock if the skids wont make contact:002:
