No, an overkill in strength doesn't hurt.. they don't weight much either.

Those REVO rimms are known for the weak hexes. I normally glue my hexes into the rimms or use two screws that got thru the rimm. I really, really don't understand why they even made the large MT wheels with 14 mm hexes.. It is a weak link.. Proline rimms however are the toughest i met till so far.. with the 14 mm hex. (stablemaxx titans) and to continu the offtopic syndrome; do those 23 mm velocity rimms flex as much as the older 40 serie dishes? (those had the bad habbit to stay bent as well..)
