it's not said that it's more efficient bp.
The 3060/3080 motors of lehner have got 3 wires going to the speedo. but all the other wires/plugs that sit on the rear are for the Wye and Delta configuration.

FD was at the WRAM show, and I saw the DTX E-firehammer run with a 3080 motor (yes a 3080!). Chris ran it about 5 times total and it practically broke every time! You heard gears stripping everywhere! He told me that they only ran it at about 3hp and that the production models will have 3040's, not 3080's. From talking to him in person a couple times, I really think I saw dollar signs in his eyes!:005: He is nice, but I would rather deal with RC-M mike!
Bye:018:

I think if done right, each could work. However, the cheap resources that finedesign uses will never due such a conversion justice. A big motor like that deserves more than clamps as motor mounts.

I hope Chris will be at the RCX show. Then I can give him a piece of my mind! And if I see his (IMO) crappy conversions, I will point out the "crapiness" of them to passers-by.

That would be nice. Mike needs to set up a booth at RCX! I could help him work it :). Hobby People is a major supporter of RCX, and is the hobby store chain that I work for. My boss (the manager) will be hosting the "Try Me" track, so myself and the other employees are going to be bugging him. It should be fun.
