Not sure about the gears.. I would have checked the manual but didn't think about that.

A MM 540 would fit fine too... I was jsut thinking that the 380c are a bit lighter and smaller that's all. A lehner basic would kick butt too...

I would do a MM system if a guys already has that. No need to go with a different motor really unless you have one or want to be different...
