Video and 8ight project - 07.22.2008, 12:37 AM

First, I thought I'd just post a quick video of my CRT.5. Nothing broke and it worked perfectly.

But the main point of this thread (and why I put it in the buggy section) was to show my Losi 8ight buggy that is in progress. I got the roller for a great price, so I couldn't pass it up. Just a couple more things to do on the battery tray, and wheel nuts to buy, and it will be rolling. I also now have many spare parts for an 8ight (brand new front/rear diffs with diff cases, brand new a-arms and axle carriers and knuckles, brand new steering assembly, used chassis, and a couple other items), so let me know if you need any of this stuff. I have a Feigao 9xl motor for sale as well. (Thought I'd throw that in there )

I will hopefully start racing pretty soon, so I don't want to get a way overpowered system for it. I am deciding whether to run 4s or 5s on the MMM ESC. I'll probably go with the MMM system on 4s, or I can go with a lower KV motor (possibly a 1512) on 5s. I am still trying different gearing and set ups in the speed calculator though. As I have plenty of time to decide since the MMM isn't even shipping yet...

And the pictures:

Well anyway, let me know what you think. And please let me know of any set ups that work well in an 8ight as well. Whether its diff/shock set ups or brushless set ups.

EDIT: I forgot to ask... does anyone know what the circle is for in the motor mount where the screws attach to motor? There is two slots where the screws go in and at the end of the slot there is a circle... anyone know what its for?
