very little steering when installed flm steering blocks - 06.01.2008, 03:21 PM

hey guys i just ordered a set of the flm steering blocks (carriers... whatever you call them?)

and when i put them on i realized how little steering i have. it goes maybe 10 degrees left and right... the flm arms make it this way.

anyone know what i am doing wrong?

it looks like you have a rear bearing carrier and not a steering block, I have been looking for a pair of aluminum steering blocks and all I have been able to find are the ones Traxxas makesand they are out of stock in many places that normally carry them I went to addicted2rc's site and all they had was the rear bearing carriers

strc makes nice stuff for the pede/rustler, they make most things you would need. Amainhobbies.com has the steering blocks and hubs etc instock

If it were there, he'd also have a camber link installed. But there's none to be found. The steering block would be mounted higher than the arm, which would prevent it from hitting.

Camber link is on top... Its there, the knuckle is a rear hub, but a actual knuckle......

Oh geez, I didn't know this was from underneath! Haha. It does look like a rear hub, though!

Haha

FLM doesnt make front knuckles that I know of either

i guess i just figured it was a front when buying it.

Look on the bright side...you will be set up when your existing rear carriers become FUBAR after a speed run crash
