hi, i own a mini-t but plan to put competion x package on it.
i'm confused because i will need a new receiver but mini-t got this weird 4 wire connection to the servo. could i cut the black wire off and just plug in the other three to a generic receiver and that will work?

You need a new servo, the stock one doesn't last very long anyway. I would strongly recommend the GWS Pico std servo, the standard servo saver works with it, all you need is a bit of servo tape between the servo and chassis to hold it down.

If Mike doesn't stock any micro ones, I got my servo from www.b-p-p.com .

Are you fellas sure you can run the stock esc/rx unit with the 3-wire servo's tho? I had a feeling the stock unit would only allow the stock losi servo to work with it... unless you mod the 3-wire to a 4-wire....

Last time i checked you needed another receiver to be able to run the mamba, and with that a new steering servo.

I love the T on a 3S lipoly.. it really is uncontrolable fast.
