No, the castle link is seperate but worth every penny. I got mine for free cause I was really lucky
Some peoples are stripping the pinion and or spur gears, while others like me are having problems with the main drive gear in the center diff stripping. Other peeps are bitching about the outer diff bevel gears and pinions getting stripped.
In the end, it just really depends on how hard you drive the truck and 6S will push it that much harder. I would get the truck with GOOD, QUALITY Lipo's "NOT MAXCRAPS" and then just play with it and see what needs to be replaced/upgraded as you use it. The castle link would be a very good idea if you plan on going straight to 6S, as the power it puts out is insane and bordering on uncontrollable.
I've been running mine for the past three weeks and the only part thats really "failing" is the main drive gear which is not hardened steel but HPI did announce one, so i'm gonna pick one of those up as well. I tried greasing up a new regular stock steel one, but its still stripping.
http://www.hpiracing.com/press/102514.html. I also went ahead before my 1st run and changed the diffs to 100k oil to give more power to the wheels, the stock diffs come with light 1,000 weight which is bleh for bashing.
My another BIG recommendation is to get some velco straps, because the stock clips and rubber feet won't do crap to keep the batteries in during a hard landing/crash
And now i'm going to selfishly show off my Flux in action
