Mine was a Tamiya Gravelhound DF02 buggy with a kontronik twist55 (5500kV) and a kontronik jazz car 70 ESC.
Batteries were 6S NiMH 3300mAh pushed and matched by hopf.
Were good batteries back then, but still only ~10mins of runtime.
And the Tamiya drivetrain couldn't cope with that kind of power for too long.
I'm still thinking of getting a full metal drivetrain von tobee craft and put the kontronik system back into that buggy after I got it repaired (magic smoke went out the ESC a while ago), but this time with 2S lipos.
Would be fun to shock some of the "nitro is so superior"-guys with my cheapo elo-tamiya
