Benefits of locked center diff - 12.09.2010, 12:30 AM

I am researching the pros and cons of locking up my Truggy center diff. Currently, it does not deliver any drive to the rear and little drive to the front when on the ground. I am rebuilding the fronts and rears with Ti ring and pinion gears and if necessary locking the center. I was looking for a center spool type CD like in my GTP but to no avail. I need to know what is the benefit of a locked center. Will it behave like a single gear spool? Please let me know.
